doctor of biological sciences, associate professor, professor of the department of feeding, breeding and private zootechnics of Ulyanovsk SAU 

In 1978 he graduated from Zootechnical faculty of Ulyanovsk Agricultural Institute. After graduation, he worked on Educational and Experimental Farm of Ulyanovsk Agricultural Institute as Head of a breeding farm for breeding of large white pigs for more than 13 years.

From 1989 to 1992 he was extra-mural postgraduate student, and then studied full-time at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of Ulyanovsk Agricultural Institute. He completed his Candidate dissertation in 1994.

He worked as Deputy Dean and then Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology from 1996 to 2015. He has started and is currently implementing new specialties and areas: "Technology of production and processing of agricultural products", "Water bioresources and aquaculture", "Technology and organization of public catering", as well as master's training in "Zootechnics".

In 2005 he completed his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Synthesis and usage of chelate structures of biogenic elements in the technology of rearing young pigs to improve their physiological and biochemical status and increase productivity", and in the same year he was awarded the title of professor in the department.

The sphere of scientific interests includes increase of feeding value and scientific justification of application of biologically active substances in animal feeding.

Two Candidate dissertations were successfully completed under the scientific guidance of Bushov A.V. Currently, he is supervising two applicants.

He is the author of more than 300 scientific and educational works, including  works in publications recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission, 2 in international citation databases, 3 monographs.

Bushov A.V. has been a member of the dissertation council for candidate and doctoral dissertations at the Ulyanovsk State Agrarian University D 999.092.03 for more than twenty years.
